They now have a smaller NL game, however the blinds are 1-1-2 because they don't want to let you chop and no matter how long the list for this game is they will never open more than ONE table. If that isn't enough, the 10% rake on this game is capped at $8!!! That is double what it is on any other game in the room. Also any player points you accumulate playing poker do not count towards your status in the casino. So if you want to be treated rudely by a terrible staff or like a second class citizen by the casino then Potawatomi is the place for you!
dido the other reviews, they are the only show in town and act like it. Bad low stakes limit games and only higher stakes no limit games. They can't figure out what the want to do and don't listen to their customers.
This room is run so poorly, I am not even sure where to start.. Half the dealers are good, but they were the ones brought in from other casinos or were very smart people that learned on their own. The "local" ones they hired and trained are HORRIBLE. They talk to the players too much, prematurely expose cards, do not push the game along and frequently have to ask player who the action is on...and all this while sporting a #&$& OFF attitude toward players! The room features 20 tables and frequently on Friday/Saturday nights only have 1 chip runner at best and 1 cashier at the cage. Most of the floor people do not or could not make the same decision twice. I hope this room goes out of business! The only reason I did not give it 1 star is the room is full of retards trying to play no limit and it doesn't smell like dog shit anymore
Wanna play in a room that never enforces rules like 3rd man walking? Speculating about what other players may have? Discussing what they folded while the hand is still being played? Muttering "I think he's got a set Johnny!!" Okay, maybe that's your style. At least know the games are slow, the dealers are incompetent and the floor and chip runners spend more time gossiping than filling games with players and making sure the games are running smoothly.
Cramped quarters and substandard dealers make the poker room at the "Pot" one of those places that should be --- at best --- a rare visit. Yes, the room is being expanded, and will house 17 tables when complete, but if you're in this room for any length of time at all you'll see incompetent dealing and lax-to-nonexistent rules enforcement; at times it seems the room is run by the regular players moreso than the house itself. Not recommended.
