I've been to the HRC 3x - each time made enough in the cash games to pay for a $100 tourney. Once drunk followed 3x bets with 7/2 off - BINGO for me. Solid room, good tourneys (though stay away away from short stack sng's) and good overall environment.
Come here if you ever are in Tampa. TONS of action. People are drunk and throwing their money away. What I love about this place is there is always some other game besides Hold'em. I played O8 for about an hour and did pretty well. The best thing is that its open 24/7. Its hard for me to leave.
The Tampa Hard Rock card room is the best card room in Florida. #1. It's open 24/7. #2. It has the best dealers in Florida. #3. It has a good management team and is well run. #4. The tables are full during prime time. #5. At least 10 tables are playing early Monday. #6. It offers the widest range of players #7. It has 10 seats per table. The Isle of Capri is also a very nice card room but isn't open 24/7 and does not have the variety of players, but their dealers are on a par with the Tampa Hard Rock. The Hollywood Hard Rock is also close the the Tampa Hard Rock. It's main attraction is being completely smoke free since it's not in the casino but just outside in a former sports bar. Those are my picks for the best card rooms in Fla., The Daytona, Orange Park, and St. Johns card rooms are good. They're not 24/7 and, over all, the dealers don't match up, but you can find action there during operating hours. The small town card rooms are best visited during a prime time weekend.
