BLACK HAWK, CO:  The Gilpin Casino Poker Room is hosting the 2008 Colorado Poker Championship Finals on January 10 &11, 2009 at 11am.  The Colorado Poker Championship Finals has a $50K Guaranteed Prize Pool, paying the top 21 places with 1st place winning over $15,000.

Players must win their seat to the Championship Finals Event by placing in the top 2 in a Colorado Poker Championship preliminary tournament.  Preliminary tournaments are running now until January 4th.  The Gilpin Poker Room is taking $7 from each buy-in and re-buy in the preliminary tournaments for the Finals Prize Pool, there will also be a $100 buy-in for all participants in the Finals Event.

BLACK HAWK, CO:  The Heartland Poker Tour rolls into Colorado next, beginning on September 22nd and continuing through October 5th at the Golden Gates Casino poker room. There are no direct buy-ins to the October 5th main event, which means over two weeks of qualifying single table and multi-table tournaments begin running on September 22nd.

As with all Heartland Poker Tour tournaments, the final table on Sunday evening October 5th will be a televised event.
